Product Analyst - Chemical Supply Chain Solution
Location: Wommelgem and Ghent (Belgium)
OM Partners is a software and consulting company that delivers Supply Chain Planning Solutions to chemical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, consumer goods, metals, plastics, flooring, glass, paper & packaging and other industries. Some references are BASF, Johnson & Johnson and Eastman.
Because of the strong growth of OM Partners, we are looking for a Product Analyst, focusing on the Chemical Industry.
As a Product Analyst, you are mainly responsible for the design of solutions and the development of the products, focusing on the Chemical Industry. You ensure that high-quality, well-tested and documented solutions are delivered.
Your challenge is to collect and formulate the business requirements and translate the functional requirements into technical solutions. Therefore, you work in close collaboration with the product manager and the consultants working on customer projects.
You continuously improve the solutions and develop new functionalities. You validate these solutions and functionalities with the different stakeholders, and you implement and test the developments.
Finally, you document the tools, and train and support your colleagues in the usage of the Chemical Solution.
Additionally, you offer expert knowledge in customer projects.
Great analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, complemented with a university degree (Engineering, Business Engineering, Computer Sciences…) are indispensable in this job. You benefit from having a further specialization or PhD in a related field.
You are passionate about chemistry and how the chemical sector works. You are willing to deep-dive into technical complex problems and take pride in translating a real-life situation into a workable, supportable model in our software solution, given a set of constraints and requirements. You are in charge of providing support to project teams and interacting with them to convince, educate and guide them in the proper usage of the Chemical Solution.
Having experience in a chemical organization or a consulting company is a plus.
You have a strong affinity with IT, as programming skills are required (macro coding similar to VBA). Experience with SQL is an advantage. Knowledge of a versioning system is also considered as a plus.
You work punctually and detailed, but keep the global overview at all times. You can work under pressure and meet firm deadlines.
You have good communication skills and love to work in an open environment. You are able to connect with the different stakeholders. You are fluent in English.
